We called late on a Friday, so we knew it would be more expensive service. However, we knew exactly what the issue was (as we had just had a house inspector tell us what was wrong), and just needed someone to come fix the plugged drain. When we called and stated the specific job needed, we were told it would be “$250 for someone to come out,” which we inferred meant they could do the job for $250. However, once the guys came they said it was $250 just to come and diagnose the issue (even though we already knew what the issue was), and then $275 to actually fix it, which just consisted of flushing the drain with CO2. Another HVAC in Houston had recently charged us $69 for the same job. Our main issue with Amazing Air Solutions was not that they wanted to charge $275 for this (given that it was a Friday night), but that they were charging twice that just to come and tell us what we already knew and had told them in advance that we knew. Because of this, we simply paid the required $250 for them coming out, and figured out a solution to the actual problem on our own.
The guys themselves were professional and courteous, but I recommend those managing the phones make it especially clear to potential customers the rate that they are charging just to come and diagnose the issue, regardless if you actually need someone to do this or not. If we had known the steep cost, we would not have had them come out in the first place.
